How vive in conscience came to be
For many years, I had an idea in my mind. When my daughter was a little girl I used to insert inspirational notes in her lunchbox to bring some cheer into her day and reminder her how much I cared. I had mentioned to someone my hopes of making my notes into a bigger project, but instead was turned down when they gave me all the possible reasons why it would not work. Like most, I used to be my worst enemy. I gave up on the ideas. One evening on my drive home from work I caught myself analyzing the individuals in the cars beside me, expressionless. I asked myself “Is this all there is?” It was as if I had been in a daze and woken up to a world with out emotion. When I would flick on the control to watch the news, everything was either negative or advertisement. Most radio stations just play songs with downbeat connotations and foul language. I remember thinking to myself “how did we get this way?” It seemed to me, that people seem to look a little happier when they were at the mall or acquiring something material, including myself. One night my daughter reminded me in a very appreciative and loving manner how those notes made a huge difference in her life. This is how the idea resurfaced. These notes are about is trying to inspire people from all avenues of life. The sooner that we start sharing positive and uplifting inspirational thoughts with each other sooner we can a make difference in another’s life. In a recent visit to the University of Miami, the Dalai Lama mentioned how important it is for people to get compassion at a young age. The notes in these boxes are meant to remind us of the things in life that truly give meaning and to help us find that compassion. When given at random without knowledge of what the inspirational notes read, it’s hoped that a change in conscience will occur. It is through your intentions of brining something positive to another that a change will begin. You might be the one to make a difference in someone’s life. The lines on the box represent the communication that needs to be opened. The colors on the Box represent, the Beauty in Diversity. The seven doves on the box are there to remind us that, we will not find peace and love in the world until we are willing to open the lines of communication and see the beauty in Diversity. Why the name Vive in Conscience? In the fast world in which we are living today we have gotten so accustomed to doing what is expected of us that we have forgotten to do what is right. We have lost our Conscience. In the 21st Century we need to become more conscious of the way in which we have been living. We must start believing that we are not here to take each other’s space but to help bring out the best in each other. As the Dalai Lama said "I'm just a human being, you're just a human being, emotionally, physically, we are the same." Article By Marilyn Alvarez. Visit vive21.com for more info.
