The first thing is that you should have a clear concept about event marketing and what it is for. The events, which are organized by the organizations, need to be clearly defined in order to meet the desired goals. There might be many reasons behind the event marketing and this all depends upon your own business needs, either you need an event to be arranged for some promotional sales or trial purposes, or you just want to make people aware about something you need them to.

To organize better event marketing please consider the following guidelines:

1.       Note down some of the key points about the event which should include like how many audience you expect? What is your goal from this event? What do you want the people to gain from this event? Etc.

2.       Organize event according to your budget, in addition you should have some extra money for contingency plan.

3.       Plan about the schedule of your event, fix a day and a time but keep this open

4.       Now prepare for the event and decide deadlines for each activity which may include arrangement of the promotional items etc.

5.       Try to advertise about your event through various mediums which may include newspapers and emails.

6.       The most important and sensitive point is to plan for emergences like emergency exits and fire extinguishers etc.

In addition it will be better if you make a checklist and list all the activities there. In the end, I want to say that you should not compromise your event because of your budget, if your budget is tight, and you cannot afford a well planned and organized event its better you wait.
